[How To] Turn Off the Location Based Trends on iPhone Twitter App


With the update in the Twitter application, they rolled out a new feature with the help of which users will not have to search for a long time for the trends available in the Discover section of their interest. Usually the users of Twitter are always into the trends related to their interest and most probably their own location. So now Twitter will use the location services of your iPhone and will enlist the Trends of your location but if you want to talk about some other trends then you can easily turn off this feature.

How To Steps

Open the application and then tap the ‘Discover’ tab and now you will the trends option on the top of the screen, just tap that.


Now on this screen you will see that all the trends mainly of your interest and location are enlisted there. If you have merely updated the application then this feature will be enabled by default. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the highlighted option to change the status of this feature.


Now when you will tap the option, you will know the importance of this feature and on tapping ‘Change Location’ you can actually fetch the trends from any other location you wish to.


So, this is how you can turn off this new feature, most of the users in various country love to talk about the trends going on in US and this tip will give the users the freedom to do so.
