Many users have reported that they might like the previous versions of the applications, reason being they might be fed up of any bug or but then the question is how to downgrade it to the lower version.
When your iPhone syncs with iTunes on your computer it replaces all the old version of applications on your iPhone by the new one which were updated by you and if you updated the applications through iPhone then the older version of the applications on your computer will be replaced by the latest which will be copied from your iPhone. So, in short once the syncing is complete both the iPhone and your computer will have the latest version of the applications.
Now the question arises from where you can get those old versions back. Now once the syncing gets completed, all the old version application files are dumped automatically in the Recycle Bin. The only way to get the older version back is to take those files out and save them as a backup of those applications, as you will need these files while putting them again on your iPhone.
- Go to the location where you have all the iTunes Mobile Application saved, basically at the time of syncing the IPA files are copied from that location on your iPhone or vice versa. By default the location on your Windows 7 computer will be ‘C:\Users\FoX\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications’.
- So, as you have deleted that updated application from your iPhone, delete the same latest application file from that location also.
- Now, as mentioned earlier you must have that IPA of the older version taken out from the ‘Recycle Bin’, paste that on the above mentioned location.
- Then simply sync your iPhone, you problem will be solved and you will have the older version of that same application on your iPhone.
This method is little bit tedious, we will let you know if we come across any jailbreak tweak which can do the same, else this is the full proof method to get the older version back. You cannot download the older version of any application from the App Store. Another problem is you will have to delete the application which means reconfiguring it again by logging in and losing all the previous data associated with it. So, keep these negative points in mind while restoring the app back to its older version.
