Give Names To Each Page Of Your iPhone Home Screen


In the list of interesting and cool Cydia tweaks the latest one to get added is PageNames. As the name suggests, the app gives names to pages on the home screen.

It might not be of great use but is surely cool as you will get the opportunity to a give a name to respective pages. Also you can categorize apps into pages and then give the page an appropriate name.

The app is provided by BigBoss repo and is available for free on Cydia store. To download it open Cydia, go to search section and type in PageNames without any spaces.


Once installed, respring the phone and you will see small titles on each page. By default the pages will be named as Page 1, Page 2 and so on. And also the spotlight search page will be named as Spotlight.


Now to give a name to the page long press the icons to bring them into the wiggle state.


When the icons come into wiggle mode, you will see the page title section getting highlighted. Now tap on it and the keyboard will roll upwards and you can give your page a name.


App Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

Conclusion: Nice tweak to categorize apps into pages. Not better than stock folders but appreciable enough.
