Even though the screen of iPhone is big enough, sometimes I do wish if I could get a little more space out of that screen by hiding the dock. But to my and many other’s disappointment there was no solution to this until now.
Cydia library has been refreshed with a new and amazing tweak called as DockHide which as per its name, hides the dock whenever you want. Most interestingly the tweak is available for free and to download it, just head to Cydia search section and type in DockHide.
The tweak can only be triggered using the Activator app. So to configure the tweak you must head to the stock settings app once DockHide has been installed on your device.
Open DockHide and there you will see a small Activation Methods section and a small yet interesting feature for stretching the home screen icons when the dock is hid.
To trigger the tweak you must set an activation method for the same. You can do it directly from the DockHide settings or use the Activator app later.
The image below shows how the screen looks when the dock is hidden. Please note that the Stretch Springboard Icons feature is disabled for this screenshot.
However if you enable the feature from the tweak’s settings, the home screen icons will stretch themselves to occupy the complete screen.
App Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
Conclusion: Works pretty quickly and I love it. I believe you would love it too.

You can install SBimplify from Cydia store. This tweak is paid but you can download it for free from other Cydia repositories. Unlike DockHide, SBSimplify lets you hide the statusbar also. So with SBSimplify you can hide the statusbar and dock, both at the same time.
