How To Make iPhone Notifications Silent For Certain Apps

I seldom use Poker application but this application has a very annoying habit, every time when your poker friend plays then it will send you the notification this means that if you have lots of friend playing regularly then it will fill your iPhone with the notifications. Similarly you might have some other applications which might trouble you a lot with their vague notifications. In this post I will share a common method with the help of which you will not see any notification related to that application in the notification center or not even the number of notification symbol available on the top right corner of the application icon.

Go To Settings and then go to Notifications. On the page search for the name of the application which is bothering you.

  • Please take a look at the screenshot carefully; here you will have to toggle off the first option which will take the application out from the notification center.
  • Alter Style should be selected that none, this will not allow the application to even show any alert or notification bubble on your iPhone screen.
  • Badge App Icon is responsible for displaying the number of unseen notifications available on top right corner of the application inside small red bubble. Once you turn that off you will not see that badge on the application icon any more.
  • Next you will have to turn off the notification sounds created by this app.

Once you perform all these 4 steps that application will be completely muted in terms of notification and its alerts with sound. Instead of completing all the 4 steps you can customize then on the basis of your requirement but turning off the alerts and sound is necessary to mute application. So, I use Poker when I want to and I never get disturbed its notifications any more and I feel that this is the most effective way to mute any application.
