Photo Art is one of the best apps for photo editing on the Apple Store and offers a host of features to play around with. It lets you click pictures, edit them, add effects to them, crop them and has a bunch of other necessary features that will help you create your own masterpieces.
The very main screen of the app is quite simple to understand. The first button with a camera thumbnail is for the camera, the next one for Gallery or camera roll, the third one to save a picture and the fourth one for editing purposes.
Unlike many other apps which open the default camera, this one though opens the same, offers added features. On the main screen you have a number of cool options. With the first button on the top you can switch between primary and secondary cameras, the next one is for enabling grids on the screen, the third one is for enabling and disabling the flash and the last one with the magnifying glass is for zooming in and out.
If you wish to take a picture with a timer option, hit the right most button with a stop watch so that you can set the timer after which it will click a picture automatically. The camera button at the middle lets you click the photo and the left most cross button to cancel.
Once you have clicked a photo it will take you to the editing section automatically and the editing interface would resemble the image below.
The first option on the top with a star button is for the effects you wish to put on the image. Tapping on the same will show you another page where you have six categories of different effects which you can put. So here you just can scroll through a number of effects like tints, metallic textures etc.
To apply any effect, tap on it and on the next screen press the Right button on the top right corner.
Coming back to the editing screen, from the second option on the top, you can crop images, turn them by 90 degrees in left or right direction and can also flip them against X and Y planes.
Third option contains the brushes which you can use to draw something on the picture and after selecting a brush you can also increase or decrease the size by moving the slider which will appear at the bottom of the picture.
Adjustments related to Hue, Saturation, Exposure, Tint, Contrast etc can also be made.
One can also use filters like Add noise, Color, Blur, Sepia etc to images. The last button on the top with two pages as its thumbnail is for going back to the main screen.
Coming to the bottom we have the first button with a ball and two arrows which could be used to lock the screen when you are editing it with a brush so that the image does not move when the brush is moving. Second we have the History button, to access the changes made previously, with two arrows so that you can undo and redo an effect or operation. Lastly we have a button with an arrow pointing upwards which could be used to hide the top bar.
Once you have applied all the effects you can hit the right most button on the top to come back to the main screen of the app. From here you can Save the image and can also use the Image Sharing button at the bottom to Copy or Email the image or share it on Facebook.
App Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.2 or later
Conclusion: Picture editing is more fun with this app and trust me it has a lot of cool features that you will definitely like
