The Facebook messenger has been updated keeping in mind about the groups on Facebook chat, now it is little easier for the users to search the group customize their names and see the groups in their chat list. Honestly I have never liked Facebook for their chatting features as compared to the GTalk which never shows the message not send symbol to the users (which happens quite often in Facebook). In this post we will discuss about all the new features introduced and how to use them.
Tapping on the right hand side icon you can see the list of the people who are online and now while scrolling down you will see the group chat name also and then below it you will see the names of the users who are offline but approachable through their Facebook messenger applications on their phone.
Secondly now you can change the name of the group by tapping on the bar at the top of the group. You will be taken to the info page of this chat group you will be able to change the name of the group and in the same you can do this if you are using the Facebook application to chat rather than the messenger.
Another great feature is about the searching of these groups where you can now search a group on the basis of their member. For example, if you search for the name of your friend then the search result will be occupied by its name as the first results and then the groups’ name will be displayed in which he and you are the members. This is actually a good feature in the messenger and I am not sure whether it is available in the Facebook application or not.
As reported by AppAdvice, the change in the icon of the application has also been visualized but as of now I cannot see that happening at my end.
The features are good and it is really handy to chat on the Facebook messenger now, obviously users are always willing to chat and interact with the friends at one point rather than being scrambled, the chatting feature of Facebook has always been an issue. But with these new features slowly being implemented are creating a better experience for the users on Facebook.
