Skype Updated for Android with new UI and Unlimited Video Messages

It seems that everybody is running towards the flat look for their applications. It was started by Microsoft with their new Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 Operating System on the smartphone and this is somewhat copied in the new iOS version and now we are seeing something similar in the new Skype. Well the features are somewhat the same but the UI has been changed totally and so the ease of accessing the contacts and calling has been increased.

Chat section now available in the new UI of this application is somewhat similar to the iOS Messages section but it is good and now you will also have the option of getting invisible as your status. The best part is the UI lag which is no more there in the application anymore as it seems to be lighter.

As mentioned by the Skype team, this new UI has been built up from the scratch and as of now this is available only on the Android platform. No word has been said about the same update on the iOS but it seems that the default UI of the iOS is somewhat similar to this and thus the upgrade will be available once the iOS7 is out for the users.

Another best thing which comes along with this new UI is the new unlimited video messaging, which enables you to record the short clips and then share them instantly with our friends and that too for free. You can update your Skype application or download it from the Google Play Store.
