[Tip] Remove SMS Integration in Facebook Messenger [Android]

Facebook Home is getting popular among the users and we have received the mixed response from the readers. Usually the users who love to use Facebook all the time will surely like this application on their phone but those who love to use the application but only once or twice a day would love to stay away from it. The users who could not have this application on their phone managed to have the access to the chat-heads feature which has been introduced in the latest update of Facebook Messenger.

Once of the features about the new Facebook Messenger is annoying that it also joins-in with your text messages (which is also a feature of Facebook Home). This sometimes seems to be annoying as your Facebook Messenger screen gets populated with the unwanted Text messages received from the advertiser and thus it gets difficult to search for the exact chat which you had on your Facebook account.

Another thing is the notification alert because now Facebook Messenger will become the default application to receive and reply your text messages. So, in this post we will talk about how to get rid of the SMS integration from your Facebook Messenger.

Open Facebook Messenger application and then tap the soft key to see the options. Tap the Settings option.

Now Choose the Option named SMS/MMS.

You will see that there are 2 features which are supposed to be disabled to remove the complete integration of Facebook Messenger with your text messages. One of the options will remove this application as the default application to reply the Text Messages and the other one will now show the list of text messages on your Facebook Messenger application.

That’s it and you will get rid of this integration on any of your Android phone. Please let us know if you still face any problem.
