Any.DO – A Perfect To Do App To Replace Apple Reminders [App Review]

Every version of the Apple’s iOS comes with a default reminders App. For most of us this app will take care of all our reminder related needs. But for some of us who need to some other settings or options other than those provided by the default Apple reminders app this article will be very useful as we will be covering an app, Any.DO which will will help you to organize everything that you do in a day.

This is the first screen which will open up when you will launch the application for the first time after installing it from the Apple store. As you can see the application has one button Sign-in with facebook and three at the bottom Skip, Log in and Register. You ca either choose to log in with facebook and sync your facebook reminders also with this app or you can just skip this and go on using this app in a normal mode.


As soon as you will click skip you will be navigated to this screen automatically. The screen says Today and it also describes all the things that you can do like :-

Pull down to create a new task :- As soon as you pull the screen down you will get the option to create a task or a reminder either by typing it using the keyboard as you can see below or


you can also tap on the blue mic on the left hand corner and the screen will be modified like below shown and you can then dictate your task and the app will make a note of it.


Pull down and hold to start talking :- When you will do this the above screen will appear automatically so that you don’t have to tap on any mic to make it happen and then you can just say what you need to be reminded off and it will do it for you.

Tap to add reminder or share :- If you need to create a reminder or a priority task you can do it using the Priority or a Reminder button. You can also share something with your friends on Facebook or Twitter from here using the share button.


Tap and hold to drag me around :- This is just to explain the feature that is available in the app. You can add the task and then hold it to to move it up or down the list as show below.


Swipe to the right to complete :- You can simply swipe to the right if you have completed the task and it will get striked off from the list as you can see below.


Similarly you have options to add the tasks or reminders for Tomorrow and This Week. When you will tap on the ‘=’ sign at the bottom of the screen below option will come up Date, Folder and Done. Just to the bottom right there is a settings button also. The Date Option will show you all the tasks that you have for the current date. The Folder option will show you all the Folders that you have made as well as all the task for the different folder types. Done will show you all the tasks that you have done or that you have striked off after doing.


When you will tap on the settings button in the bottom right  the below screen will open. The folders option will give you an option to make a New Folder in addition to what you already have. Theme will change the current theme of the app. Then there is a Sounds, Feedback and Sing in option.


The app will help you to capture all the things that you want to do in a day also make sure that you get them done. The features like drag and drop to plan your agenda, swipe off a task to mark it as complete and shake your phone to clear the completed task feels just awesome. The app syncs with all your devices, you can also share with your friends, family and colleagues. Instead of just typing in you can also tap the microphone icon and say what you want to do and it will automatically get converted into text.

According to me Any.DO app is the best option in terms of features, GUI and its user friendliness if you are looking for applications in this category. You can also try out the other applications that i have mentioned Other Similar Good Apps.
