Copy Installed Apps From iPhone To iTunes on PC or Mac

In my previous article I mentioned about a freeware named ‘Sharepod’ to transfer the music and videos from your iPhone to your computer. When you format your computer without taking the backup of the files related to your iPhone then you face such problems where you want to transfer files from your iPhone to computer. Today in this post I will mention about a method with the help of which you will be able to transfer the applications from iPhone to new iTunes installed on your computer.

First of all connect your iPhone to your computer and launch the iTunes, if you have the latest iTunes then I am sure you might be facing certain problem in discovering the Sidebar which is required in this method. Now click the menu icon on the left top corner.

Now click on the Show Menu Bar, the moment you hit this, you will see the View as one of the options in this menu bar. Click that option and then choose the option named Show Sidebar.

Now you will be able to see your device listed under the category named Devices. Right click on the name of your iPhone and then click the option named transfer purchases. Once you do that it will start transferring the application from iPhone to its application folder.

If your iTunes has been newly installed then iTunes will ask you to authorize that computer and then you will be able to proceed with the transfer. To authorize that computer you will just have to enter the password of the Apple ID used on your iPhone.

That’s it!! It will take some time and then the transfer will be complete of all the applications and the music which has been bought using App store.

If you have bought all your music and Application from App Store then you will not be needing any third party application to transfer them on your computer from your iPhone. This is best way to transfer the application, I will recommend the readers to go for this method rather than using iExplorer3 or any other iPhone file system browser application.
