Ever wanted your applications to be locked so that no one can get access to them? If you have a jailbroken apple device then we have the perfect solution for you.
On Cydia store there is a wonderful application known as Applocker. It is a simple small tweak to apply access restrictions on specific applications. Most importantly the app is free on Cydia store and to download it, go to search section and type in Applocker (without space)
The app does not add any icons on the home screen and for the very settings of it one has to look for the same in the stock iPhone settings.
One you have found Applocker, open it. First of all Enable the app by tapping on the toggle button and then set a passcode which is set as 0000 in the image below. Remember the password is not hidden and therefore do lock your stock iPhone settings app as one can access it and see the password.
Session locking is another cool feature where the app remains unlocked once you have entered the passcode, till the time you lock your device.
Under Applications, you have a list of all the system as well as installed applications. To lock any, tap the toggle button to On.
Scroll down the Applocker Settings page and you will come across more interesting options. You can also lock apps from launching from Springboard/Home screen and Multitasking switcher. You can also create a folder with a specific name and lock it. This way you can put several apps in the locked folder and you would not have to lock specific apps one by one. Also you can lock the icons layout when in jiggle mode.
After configuring all that you need, you can test the app by launching a locked app. Here i have locked the App Store and it prompts me for the password when i tap on the icon from the Springboard.
App Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
Conclusion: Wonderful app, works brilliantly.
