Set Location Based Reminder: No Tweak or App required

Reminder application in iOS6.0 is has specially designed to cover all the type of reminders for you. Well, this saves time for you by not getting bothered about other application on app store. Sometimes when you are not sure about the timings of an event or when you do not plan an event on a particular day or date, rather you decide that it can be done any-time when you visit that particular location, then location based reminder are the best. In this post we will talk about how to take advantage of location based reminders from the default application in iOS.

Open the application and like adding any other reminder tap the ‘plus (+)’ sign, now you will have 2 options. You can add a reminder on a particular date and day or you can add it based on a location. As of now, we will enable the second option.

By default the selected location will be the current location, but you can also decide whether you want to be reminded while leaving that location or while coming to it. Select the suitable option.

If you want to change the location, then tap the ‘Current Location’ section and then enter the exact address. Apple Maps is not that awesome, so you cannot expect it locate your entered address promptly and accurately.

Apart from these, you can tap the show more section to add any details in the Notes section and to set the priority of the reminder. That’s it, the reminder will be set.

Honestly speaking, I will still search for some other tweak or application which can set the location based reminders by taking the help of Google Maps. Else Current location option is good to go. This application is easy to use and saves time.
