Well, I have complained about one thing on default e-mail client of iPhone that they do not show the chats section which is really important for the users who are primarily using Gmail email account as the primary contact. As a result I started using GMail application by Google to read the chat section but again I had to manage 2 email client application at a time which sometimes become time consuming. In this post we will mention about a small tip with the help of which you can see the chat folder on your iPhone and again you will be able to see the unread offline chats as the mail.
Steps To Show Gmail Chats in iOS Default E-mail Client
Step 1: Open the web interface of GMail account on your laptop and then go to the settings section.
Step 2: Now go to the labels and then tick mark the checkbox as highlighted in the screenshot below.
Final Result: That’s it, wait for a while and then you will see the folder named Chat as the subfolder under the GMail listing all the chats of your GMail account. If you are not able to see that folder under mail client then remove that account and then try to configure it again.
So, finally you can stop using other e-mail clients and rely on the default client only, it may happen that this IMAP setting for the chats may have been introduced recently but this can help you to see chat section on your iPhone which was never possible before. Please share this tip as it is something very much new and unique.
