Sometimes while using your phone, you must have observed that your phone hangs onto some application and no matter how many times you press that Home key but it will not get away. Most of the times this problem is faced by the users who have got their iPhone jailbroken and now their phone lags after a while. Recently a bug was discovered in the jailbreak patch that it takes really a long period of time to restart the phone after jailbreaking and in some cases it does not start at all. In this post we will tell you a method which can be used whenever your phone hangs due to any reason, you can force shut down your force with this tip.
Press and hold Home button and lock button simultaneously for few seconds unless you screen goes off (black) and then release both the button at the same time.
Wait for a while and then press the lock key again to start the phone, then after a while Apple logo will appear and then the phone will start normally. If the iPhone was equipped with untethered jailbreak patch then it will start with jailbroken iOS only.
If you want that an application should crash reason being it has hanged your iPhone and is not letting you do any other task on it, then you can follow this step.
1. Press the lock button until the power off option appears and as soon as you see that option leave that lock button and then press and hold the home button (do not TURN off the device).
2. After a while you will see that the app will close automatically (as soon as this happen leave the home button and then you will be directed to the home screen).
You can use these tips to close a single app and to force shut down your iPhone. Please note that if your iPhone is jailbroken then it might start in the Safe Mode but then you can normally restart it to get it working normally. If you want to get rid of this problem completely then, launch Cydia and install the evasi0n updates they will help you to get rid of all the bugs appeared after patching your iOS (they are really important for your iPhone to work properly when jailbroken).
