Edit Audio, Trim and Merge Video on YouTube Capture [iOS]

The best free video editing tool available for iOS device is the YouTube Capture and in this post I will tell you all the reason to believe that. You can use this application to merge two or more videos, trim any recorded video or add any other audio in the background of the video and finally upload it directly on YouTube in your Channel. Let us see that how these features can be used.

All Editing Features on a Single Screen

The moment you launch the application, you will see ‘All videos’ which can be used to see all video available on your device, the video which have already been uploaded which highlighted whereas the rest will be accompanied by the option of edit and upload.

Now tap any of the video which has not been uploaded yet and you will be taken to another screen where you will see something like the one shown above in the screenshot.

Now at the top you have an option of Edit Music which can be used to change the audio in the background of the video. You can either choose any of the song available in the iTunes or you can opt to choose any of the tracks on behalf YouTube on that Application.

There is a mini player in the screen which can be used to play it and check the preview of the video, from time to time after you make the changes. Below this mini player, you have the option to trim the video with the help of white bars. You can scroll them horizontally to trim it to any length.

Lastly you have the ‘+’ which can be used to add any further video to that video. Once you tap it, it will ask whether you want to record a new video and add it to this or you want to add already available video on your iPhone.

If you are using all these tweaks over your iPhone 4 then it will be very slow and you will have to have some patience while dealing with the application. You can also opt to create a different channel if you want to upload a video in some other channel. I hope you will be able to take a good advantage of this feature, please let us know if you face any problem while using this application ‘YouTube Capture’.

Shoot Slow Motion Videos at 60fps From any iPhone

One of the three features that iPhone 5S was overhauled with was its ability to record videos at extremely slow speed. The way it was advertised completely left us awestruck. As a user of iPhone 3GS, (yes i am still using that) i wondered if i could get a pinch of that feature in my more than three years old phone too.

Recently, i came across an app called SloPro which has the ability to record up to 60fps and the big surprising element is that it is compatible with iOS 6.0 and later. In this post i quickly walk through as how to record slow motion videos from any iPhone.

Getting Started

The app SloPro has two versions. Lite one comes free and has some fences around it, like a watermark in every video you produce. The other one comes at a price of $1.99 which is full featured. For the time being we shall move ahead with the lite version.

Shooting Slow Motion Video

The moment you open SloPro, you are ready to start shooting videos. All you need to do is click on that red icon. Once you complete the shooting by pressing the red button again, on the left hand lower corner appears the recently shot video. Tap that and you will be taken to the all videos shot by the app.

Editing Shot Video

Once you play a shot video, you get an option to edit that video in the same window. As editing options you can further reduce the speed or even increase the speed in percentage. The default is 40% but can be lowered up to 25% more or can be fastened up to 4x speed. You also have the feature to clip in and clip out to specific frames in the video shot. Once you are done editing, you can click the “tick” and get results instantly.

In terms of size, video shot at 60fps of 30 seconds was around 30 MB on my iPhone.

Upgrading to Pro

SloPro offers option of in-app purchase for upgrading to full version. In full version you no longer have to deal with the watermark “made with slopro for iPhone”. In addition, you can export your videos to camera roll and also email them directly.

The slow recording performed by SloPro app does a pretty decent job even on the iPhone 3Gs. I expect it should work flawlessly on your iPhone 4 and later too. Next time when a iPhone 5S user is going to flaunt his slow recording feature, i am going to use this app as an answer.

Upload HD Video From iPhone Without Compression with Youtube Capture

Google has released a new application which makes it very easy for you to upload the videos directly from your iPhone. You can share those videos instantly not only on YouTube but also on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. After taking the video you can add any other background audio from YouTube soundtracks and then share the video with all of your friends. Let us discuss it in detail.

First things first, if you want to record any video using this application then it can only be done in the landscape mode because the record button will not be activated unless you turn that phone in the landscape mode.

The moment you stop the recording you will be directed to another screen where you can share the video.

A copy of that video will be saved in your camera roll also. The icon on the extreme left will help you to make that video better by adding certain effects to it, moreover if you want it to be shared on Facebook and other Social Network, just tap on their respective icon. While sharing that video you will have to configure this application in your Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus account by giving this application the required rights.

You can also trim the length of the video before uploading it on internet. On the main screen (the first screenshot) when you will tap the videos section, you will see all videos already available in your camera roll. They will be enlisted and will be ready to be uploaded on YouTube, you can hide them by swiping your finger across them.

In the beginning, I have mentioned that the recording will be initiated once you put your iPhone in the landscape mode, you can go to settings and change this setting which will let you record in the portrait mode. You can also vary the recording quality (between 480p and 720p) or misconfigure the social network with the application.

Application is good for the freaks who love upload the videos again and again on a daily basis as it is very handy for them; moreover it is a single point from where the video can go to all of your social networks. Besides this I also liked the effects and corrections which can be done to the video using this application. Please let us know if you face any problem while using this application.

[Solved] Fix iPhone Does Not Play Some Videos

Many of the user have reported that they cannot play some videos on their, rather in that space they see a small blue box icon on their iPhone or iPad and almost all of them blame Apple for that as they think that these videos have been blocked by Apple for some purpose. There are many reasons due to which you are not able to watch that video and in this post we will discuss all those reasons. Please go through all the points mentioned below:-

Adobe Flash Player not supported

One of the reasons is the incompatibility of flash player with Apple devices, now a days most of the video service based websites like Dailymotion, Metacafe or YouTube use HTML5 to broadcast their videos online, but there might few videos which still use flash player to be played and you should know that Apple does not allow users to install Adobe flash-player on their device, this is due to the reason that flash player has large number of vulnerabilities which are used by hackers to hack any system which uses flash player. So for the security reasons of their users, Apple does not allow the installation of flash players on iPhone or iPad.

Format not supported

Other reason may be the different format of the video being displayed on the video as you know Apple support very selective formats of videos, but still it is a very rare problem as now a days there will be few videos which cannot be played online due to this problem, but then the website will clearly state a message that this video cannot be played on this device.

Regional Restrictions

Another reason can be the region restrictions, sometime videos are restricted up-to a certain region, I have seen many times YouTube stating that this video cannot be played in your region and this has nothing to do with iPhone or Apple.

Screen optimization not compatible with iPhone

Some videos may not be seen when their video display size is not optimized with your iPhone screen size.

Videos restricted by their owners.

Most of the times, owner of the video do not allow it to be viewed on the mobile devices, they put a restriction due to which it will never run on any of the mobile phone.

Videos which are preceded by advertisements

There are also certain videos which show advertisement before being played, you cannot see those videos also on your mobile phones. So, these problems mentioned above are not only for iPhone but all mobile phones together.

[Solved] Cannot Play Some Videos On iPhone, iPad

Many readers have reported that they were not able to watch videos on their iPhone and this problem had different stories behind it. Some said that when they were browsing internet on safari then they came across some video sections which were greyed out, but those videos could be played on your PC or laptop, few of them also that when transferred videos to iPhone through iTunes then it reflected that the videos have been successfully transferred but then after disconnecting it when you will watch your iPhone, you won’t find any.

We will be taking on all the problems one by one and thus telling you the solutions for the same. Before going further let me tell you the correct format of the videos, which are the mandatory conditions for any video to be transferred on your iPhone, if the video fails any of the clause then that video won’t run on your apple device. So here the enlisted points for the iPhone videos

  • Video format: MPEG-4, MOV, M4V
  • Video Compression: H.264
  • Video framerate: till 30 fps
  • Audio format: AAC

Once all these conditions are satisfied for the videos to be transferred, you are good to go with that video. Now as some of the reporters mentioned that even when iTunes was reflecting that the video was available inside iPhone, but users weren’t able to see them. You might find this solution awkward but this has worked for large numbers of users. If you will change the language then it is assumed that it will reload all the application for the new language and thus all the transferred videos will be visible.

You will have to go to Settings, then tap General.

Now tap International and then tap language.

Now change it to any other, better choice will be British English as for other languages it will be hard to revert the change done.

Now coming on to other reasons where users have reported that sometimes they were not able to watch certain videos on YouTube or other websites. The only explanation to this problem is the unavailability of flash player for safari browser on iPhone. You might be knowing that till now Apple has not allowed a flash player for iPhone and the reason behind this decision is large number of vulnerabilities in flash player which may lead hackers to hack easily into your iPhones.

Now a days many websites like YouTube, metacafe and other video sharing websites have opted for HTML5 version to put the videos and that is the reason you can easily watch them most of the times, but then if you ever came across any video online which still takes the support of flash player then that video will be greyed out.

Lastly, a suggestion, if you still face any problem with the conversion or transfer of videos then it will be great if you could use the applications Flexplayer, Movie player and other similar application where you will not have to convert the video to any format. You will have to upload the video from your system to these applications and then they will simply run it as they do not demand any conversion in the video format, audio format or compression rate.

Please let us if any of the tips mentioned above do not help you for your problem.
