InvisiBright is one of the best utilities I have ever used to adjust screen brightness of my android device. In this post we will review the free version of the app which is available on the android market as InvisiBright Free. After you have got the app installed on your device, you can start it and the very main interface would like the screen below.
On the main screen we have options like Main Mode, Shortcut Preferences, Touch Mode and Tilt Mode preferences and options like show percentage and show helpful hints of which the last two could be enabled or disabled right from here.
The app can be used to change the brightness of your device by touching and sliding your finger on the screen or use the accelerometer to do the same. In the main mode we have two options, Touch and Tilt. The Touch mode is where you can slide your finger on the right side of the screen, in up and down direction to change the screen brightness. In Tilt mode you have to lean your device forward or backward according to the level of brightness you want.
In the shortcut preferences you can activate or deactivate the shortcut of the app in the status bar.
In Touch mode preferences you can lock the orientation of the screen so that while adjusting the brightness the screen does not change the view. You can also use the Buffer options to select the number of pixels for the size of the edge where you need to slide your finger. it could be adjusted for both portrait and landscape modes. At the bottom you can test the feature by tapping on the Test option. After you have changed the brightness you can exit the feature by tapping on the left hand side of the screen.
In Tilt Mode preferences you an again lock the orientation as while leaning your devices possibilities of your screen orientation getting changes are quite more. With End on tap feature you can exit the Tilt feature by tapping anywhere on the screen. You can also adjust the tilt sensitivity which is 50 % by default and at last you can test the feature.
To access the apps the functionality it is recommended that you keep the status bar shortcut enabled. Now to use it from any screen just bring down your status bar and press the shortcut and immediately the feature will be activated so now according to your mode, Tilt or Touch you can adjust the brightness and end the feature by pressing back key or tapping on the screen on the left hand side.
You can also access the app by long pressing the Search button on your phone.
App Requirements: Compatible with Android devices. Requires android 2.2 and up.
Conclusion: Such a tremendous work from the developers and I hope you will like it.
